Alleged robbers ransack elderly woman's home

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Three burglars made their way inside a Miami woman's home along Southwest 12th Avenue and 17th Terrace.

Police said they bound the elderly victim with duct tape, then ransacked the place.

Neighbors are now on edge. "I've lived here for 37 years," said Maria Rapio. "Never we have any problems but now every day they steal over here, they steal over there. I'm scared. We are not safe no more."

That homeowner was shaken up, but not hurt.
