Drivers to experience overnight road closures

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Drivers can expect some closures scheduled for tonight along SR 826 and SR 836 as construction crews continue to work on a project.

Tuesday, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., crews will close all southbound SR 826 lanes from Northwest 12th Street to West Flagler Street. Officials said drivers can go west on SR 836, exit at Northwest 12th Street/Northwest 87th Avenue, then head west to Northwest 87th Avenue, turn south to access the eastbound SR 836 ramp and stay right to enter SR 826 southbound.

Also, the westbound SR 836 double loop ramp to southbound SR 826 will be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The closures come as a $560 million project is in effect. The project began in Nov. 2009 and is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2015.

These closures will also take place on Friday, Feb. 22.
