Coast Guard makes cocaine bust

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The U.S. Coast Guard seized more than $17 million worth of cocaine off a boat in the Southwest Caribbean.

Officials unloaded 1400 pounds of the illegal drug after seizing the boat Jan. 24 during a routine patrol. Authorities made the discovery after spotting some suspected smugglers on the vessel.

Four people on that boat were taken into custody.
