Judge denies Shellie Zimmerman's request

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A request was rejected for the wife of Sanford shooter George Zimmerman.

A judge denied Shellie Zimmerman's request to drop the perjury charge against her.

She was arrested after claiming she and her husband, George Zimmerman, were broke at his original bond hearing, failing to mention the hundreds of thousands they raised for his defense on-line.

Two weeks ago, a judge also denied George Zimmerman's request to have his trial pushed back. It remains scheduled for June.

The neighborhood watchman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of a South Florida teen, Trayvon Martin.
