Man dies in shooting outside restaurant

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man is dead and another is recovering in the hospital after a shooting outside a restaurant Tuesday night.

The shooting happened at around 8:20 p.m. in the area of Northwest 140th Street and 27th Avenue. Investigators said shots rang out as a seafood outlet was closing for the night. Two men were struck, killing one of them.

Rescue crews airlifted the other male to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Police are now searching for the shooter who fled on foot.
