Man robbed at home

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A scary morning for a South Florida man as he's ambushed at home.

Police said the victim was walking into his apartment on Northwest 48th Avenue and 36th Street, Wednesday and locked the door before a gunman forced his way inside.

Authorities said the robber took off with jewelry and cash. The victim was not hurt.

Police are searching for the thief.
