Man wrongfully jailed in rape case files lawsuit

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A man wrongly imprisoned for nearly 26 years has now filed suit.

Anthony Caravella, now 44 years old, is suing the former investigators in his 1983 rape and murder case.

His lawyers said investigators from Miramar and the Broward Sheriff's Office forced him to falsely confess.

Caravella was cleared by a DNA test back in 2009 and released from jail.
