2 students detained for taking pellet gun to school

KEY WEST, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two middle school students could face criminal charges after they displayed an Airsoft handgun at school.

Students and teachers are getting back to normal at Horace O'Bryant Middle School after the incident forced a lockdown early Thursday morning.

Key West Police responded to the school after another student witnessed the two subjects showing off the pellet gun. The witness called her parent, who then called authorities.

Key West Police officers quickly took the students into custody and confiscated the gun. The students are being questioned.

The lockdown has since been lifted.
