Boil water order issued after waterline ruptures

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A localized boil water order has been issued for two apartment buildings after a waterline ruptured.

The water pipe burst Thursday along Miami Lakeway and Northwest 64th Avenue. The pipe burst during routine maintenance on a fire hydrant. Residents were urged to avoid the area as crews repaired the ruptured waterline.

A boil water order has since been issued for residents in the Celebrity and St. Tropez apartment buildings.
