Police search for killer after teen is shot

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A 16-year-old teen was fatally shot after shots rang out in a local neighborhood.

Several police officers were on the scene after a shooting occurred at Northwest 62nd Street and 13th Court just before 2 p.m., Saturday.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was shot and rushed to the hospital where he later died due to his injuries. Neighbors in the area said the violence has to stop. "All I heard was gunshots," said a witness. "All I heard was gunshots and when you live around here, you hear gunshots every day."

Police are still investigating.
