Man allegedly involved in drug raid released on bond

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A suspect was released from jail on bond after a violent shootout with cops earlier this week.

Twenty-nine year old Brian Howell walked out of the Miami-Dade County Jail Friday night.

The judge set his bond to $5,000.

Reporter: "Can you tell us what happened? How that fire started?

Brian Howell: "I have no idea I was not inside that house at that time."

Reporter: "How are you feeling? You're all wounded here on your face."

Brian Howell: "I'd rather not say at this time."

Authorities said he and two other men shot at detectives during a drug raid, then set a home on fire along Southwest 154th Avenue and 57th Street.

Police found one of the other suspects hanging from a tree.

Police are waiting to see if a body found in that burned home is the third suspect.
