Police search for person who shot a local aspiring rapper

MIAMI (WSVN) -- An aspiring rapper was rushed to the hospital after someone started shooting on the street.
Miami Police are investigating a shooting in Overtown where at least one person was rushed to the hospital.
Family members at Ryder Trauma Center said 29-year-old André Scott was also injured in the shooting. "I want people to know that my son is a good kid," said Quantriel Scott. "He's a loving child, he's very respectful, and if anyone is out here trying to hurt my son, I don't think they have a right to. They don't have no reason to because he don't bother nobody."
Scott's family said the young man is an aspiring rapper and may have been in Overtown shooting a music video.
After the shooting an ambulance rushed one man to the hospital. Another car, a Mercedes SUV also drove another group to the hospital. A small child was inside but appeared to be uninjured.
Meanwhile, Scott's family said the young rapper is inside the hospital after being shot in the drive-by shooting. "I raised André from birth," said his grandmother Joan Tisdale. "André went to high school, he graduated and he went to college and everything."
Police have not released much information on the drive-by shooting but they may not have many details.
