Maintenance work to close runway at FLL

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Overnight maintenance work at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will result in the temporary closure of a runway.

The North Runway is scheduled to be closed from 12:01 to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The closures will allow for routine maintenance work on the runway. As a result of the closure, the Crosswind Runway will be used for arrivals and departures between these hours.

Residents living in Dania Beach and Fort Lauderdale may notice an increase in aircraft operations over their communities.
