2 arrested after stealing cars; 2 at large
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Two of four men who allegedly stole two vehicles from a home are in police custody.
The theft occurred just before 2 a.m. Wednesday at a home along 111th Street and Northeast Fourth Avenue. Investigators said several men kicked in the front door of the home, took the victim's keys and stole the two vehicles parked at the residence.
One of the vehicles, a Ford F-150, is equipped with a tracking device and detectives were able to locate the truck in the area of 99th Street and Northwest 11th Avenue. Investigators observed the black truck with four occupants and attempted to detain the subjects, but they fled.
The men eventually abandoned the vehicle in the area of 41st Street and Northwest 15th Avenue.
Police set up a perimeter and two of the men were apprehended a short time later. The other two men, however, remain on the loose.
The victims in the residence were not harmed.
