Free help for homeowners event coming to Miami

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Top housing experts will be providing personalized advice to Miami area residents on Wednesday and Thursday.

Housing counselors and mortgage servicers from the U.S. Treasury, HUD and HOPE NOW will be at the Help for Homeowners event at the James L. Knight Center, offering advice to South Florida homeowners.

The free event is designed to bring homeowners in financial distress face-to-face with a representative from their mortgage lender or local housing counselor.

The event will take place at 400 SE 2 Ave. from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday. Complimentary self-parking will be available in the Convention Center Garage on 100 SE 2 St.
