HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- An accident in Hialeah sent two people waiting at a bus stop to the hospital, and one of them would eventually die.

A car slammed into a bus stop near West 16th Avenue and 42nd Street, before 10 a.m., Thursday morning, hitting three men.

Kevin Balladares witnessed a crash between two cars that sent one car into the bench. "I heard the hit," he said, "so when I looked, there was the red car coming from this side, and the other one was coming from that side ... it was so fast that the blue one hit the red one, and he did a drift all the way over here."

Two of the three men hit were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in extremely critical condition. One of the men would later pass away. "I've never been in those places," Balladares said of the scene of horror that unfolded before his eyes. "I got scared because when it hit him and when I saw the old guy bleeding, I thought he was dead, but he was still moving."

Police said the blue SUV had the right of away, but the investigation continues. The driver of the SUV was also transported to the hospital. She is expected to be OK.
