FPL employees lend a helping hand
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Florida Power and Light employees are giving back to the community for a week of service.
The company is kicking off its Power to Care Week at Charles Drew Middle School in Miami.
FPL employees are rolling up their sleeves and working alongside City Year Miami to help improve the campus through various projects, from landscaping to painting.
FPL President Eric Silagy said, "It's really a way for us as a company to give back to the community and help our kids here to be better citizens and get out there and help them any way we can."
Every day this week, hundreds of FPL volunteers will participate in community service projects across the state.
