Former Miami-Dade Schools Police Chief officially resigns
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Former Miami-Dade Schools Police Chief Charles Hurley has resigned.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools has confirmed they received a letter of resignation from the former police chief effective Feb. 8.
There has been an acting chief in place since last year. They said they will be interviewing for a new chief in the weeks ahead.
Hurley was accused of sexual harassment involving officers with his department. Hurley was first suspended, then demoted.
