1 dead after fiery crash

MIRAMAR, Fla. (WSVN) -- One person is dead after a fiery tractor trailer crash.

The driver of a tractor trailer carrying tomatoes was traveling northbound on the Florida Turnpike extension trying to get on to the Florida Turnpike when, police said, he lost control of the vehicle.

Police said the car flipped onto its side and then caught on fire.

The on-ramp has been closed.

Police and fire crews are still investigating.
