Teenage mother murdered by boyfriend

HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man accused of murdering a teen mother faced a judge in court, Monday morning.
Police said 21-year-old Yoan Dominguez killed his 17-year-old girlfriend, Genesis Fonseca, Saturday.
This morning, Dominguez was in court where a judge denied him bond, and he was ordered not to have contact with the Fonseca's family.
Police said Fonseca was part of a huge Hialeah family, who all got together Saturday as she spent the day at her mom's Lago Grande apartment. "She asked my mom if her boyfriend could come over," said the victim's sister Maria Macraso, "And my mom told her that he could come over."
Fonseca's sister said the couple told her mother they were hungry sometime before 8 p.m. "My mom left with her boyfriend and went to go get them food," said Macraso. That was the last time she ever saw her daughter alive. "When she came back, my mom said, that the door was locked. She couldn't open it and nobody was answering."
Inside the home was a gruesome scene. "When she walked in she just saw blood on the floor and she was just like, 'What's going on?' There was also blood on the couch but she didn't notice that her body was in front of the couch."
"She's been wrapped up like a dog," said the victim's cousin David Lopez, "and murdered like a dog. She was found in a white blanket full of blood."
Family members were left shocked by the news. "He[Dominguez] was a jealous guy from what I had heard," said Macraso. "I mean, I didn't think he would do something like that."
Police arrested Dominguez in a truck in the City of Miami at around 7 a.m., Sunday.
Genesis' family is left confused. They are left with only pictures of the teenage mother they now have to bury. "She was a good girl," said the teen's grandmother Ramona Sanchez through a translator. "To take my kids from me they'll have to kill me. She was doing good things."
Dominguez will remain at the Miami-Dade County jail charged with second degree murder. He has a lengthy rap sheet and was currently out on bond for a battery charge.
Police have not released many details on how Fonseca was murdered.
Fonseca's child, who is about to turn a year old this week, is in the custody of the Department of Children and Families pending the outcome of a dependency hearing.
