HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Terminal 3 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has re-opened after a gas leak forced its evacuation very early, Tuesday morning.

At around 2 a.m. Thursday, authorities received calls of a gas leak at the airport. Investigators said the leak originated in a ramp-side maintenance shed. Terminal 3 was evacuated as a precaution.

Crews capped the leak about an hour later, and people were allowed back into the terminal.

Travel was not affected by the emergency.
