HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A police chase ended almost as soon as it began after two burglary suspects tried to flee police but crashed.

The two suspects were taken into custody, just before noon Thursday, after they crashed into a car parked at Romo's Cafe, on the 6500 block of West Fourth Avenue.

The chase lasted only about three to four minutes. Police spotted the two men after responding to reports of a burglary at 65th Street and West Fourth Avenue. The suspects ran into a car when police approached, and the chase ensued.

After the crash, the two men tried to flee but police K-9s helped catch them. One suspect suffered a bite wound to the back of his leg. Fire rescue responded to the scene of his detention to treat his wounds.

Both suspects are now in custody, and charges remains pending.
