Lawmakers support $400 million renovation for Sun Life

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A big step for the Miami Dolphins as state lawmakers continue to show support for the renovation of the stadium.

The bill to allow taxpayer funding for a $400 million renovation to Sun Life Stadium is headed to the Florida senate floor.

It was passed by a senate appropriations committee Thursday afternoon, but in the end, a vote by Miami-Dade residents will be needed for it to become law.
