DOWNTOWN MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- Ultra Music Festival has taken over the downtown streets of Miami.

One criminal was so desperate to get in he tried to steal a ticket.

Two women from Naples said the man tried to steal a ticket from them then took off running.

The bad guy nearly got run over by a car while trying to get away but Miami Police caught up to him and arrested him. "We were screaming," said Anessa Colvett. "We were like, 'Please someone stop him,' and he just kept on running and they tried to stop him but he was like a ninja. He was so fast."

The man said he tried to steal the ticket because he lost his.

Ultra Music Fest features the best house music DJ's from around the world. This year there are two separate weekends. Tickets start at around $400 each.

The festival is causing a lot of traffic in the area of Downtown Miami. All southbound traffic down Biscayne Boulevard will be detoured up to Northeast Fourth Street, west of Second Avenue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes to the southbound lanes at Southeast First Street.
