Police detain 2 suspects after foot chase, 1 at large

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are still looking for one of three suspects who police pursued on foot during a dramatic chase that was caught on camera.
At 5 p.m., Tuesday, 7Skyforce was over the scene as police chased three men through a neighborhood on foot, in the area of Northwest 38th Avenue and 199th Street. They had bailed out of a black Toyota sedan and hoped a fence in the area, during the vehicle chase.
Police K-9 units and two police helicopters assisted in the search for these men who hid below trees and jumped fences in the neighborhood, as they tried to elude police. Police detained two men in the backyard of one home within a few minutes.
Wednesday, the third suspect has yet to be captured.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, at around 3:32 p.m., one of their K-9 Units stopped a rental car at Mile Marker 98 near Alligator Alley. There were four subjects inside. They were stopped for having illegal tints. Once the officer got the driver out of the vehicle, one of the passengers jumped into the driver's seat and took off with the other two men inside.
Police gave chase but broke off the pursuit at Mile Marker 50, near the Broward/Miami-Dade County limit. Miami-Dade and Miami Gardens Police took over the pursuit on the Turnpike extension before the car exited on Red Road, near 37th Avenue. They bailed out soon after.
Homeowner Chris Brown said the men were arrested in front of his house. He snapped a cell phone picture of the men being arrested. "I was worried because I have my son inside, and he's only 3 years old, so I went and locked my back door," said Brown.
Police helicopters left the scene as well as several police units, at around 6 p.m. However, the third suspect remains at large. If you live in the area and notice anything suspicious, call 911.
Officers said the men in the Toyota are suspected of burglary in Collier County.
The subjects arrested in Miami Gardens will be transferred over to Collier County Sheriff officials they will be charged with fleeing and eluding police.
