Cyclist hit by car

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A cyclist was struck in Miami Beach on Wednesday.

Police said the driver of a Lexus hit the bicyclist near Collins Avenue and 23rd Street.

The driver stayed on the scene until police arrived, and the victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.

Police believe the cyclist may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
