Theft charges against flight attendant dropped
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Charges against a former airline employee accused of stealing from an 11-year-old passenger were dropped Thursday.
Former JetBlue flight attendant Marsha Henry will not face charges of petty theft because she was wrongfully identified on surveillance video. She was accused of taking a pouch from a boy who was flying alone from Fort Lauderdale to New York City last year. The pouch contained the passenger's boarding pass, his wallet and $200.
The video showed it was another female attendant who took the pouch. When the boy landed in New York he did not get his wallet back.
JetBlue Airways refunded the money to the boy's family and fired the employee. She is now hoping to get her job back.
