Small plane makes emergency landing on highway
WEST BROWARD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on a South Florida highway.
The twin-engine Beechcraft landed on US 27 in West Broward Tuesday night.
Officials said the aircraft took off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on a training exercise, when the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in the median near Mile Marker 44.
The pilot and another person on board walked away unharmed.
All northbound lanes were shut down while crews removed the aircraft off the highway.
