SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Fire crews have contained a grass fire that burned close to an elementary school and some nearby homes.
The blaze broke out just after 2:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Southwest 128th Street and 112th Avenue. By 4:30 p.m., roughly five acres had been burned.
Although the fire was close to Gloria Floyd Elementary, administrators said the school was not affected.
