Good Samaritans help save group of baby ducks
KENDALL, Fla. (WSVN) -- Good Samaritans in South Florida saved a few ducklings in danger, Sunday.
A father and daughter sent 7News a video after they noticed the ducks fell into a drain on the side of a road in Kendall.
They pulled over to rescue the ducklings near Kendall Drive and Southwest 137th Avenue.
Two employees from a nearby restaurant assisted in the rescue, lending a dustpan to help scoop the ducklings out, one by one. "I was really relieved," said Paris Rayneri, "because I just felt so bad, since, you know, there's so much bad stuff happening this week, that it's finally nice to know that we actually did something good, even if it's just for some baby ducks."
The mama duck was seemed relieved after the rescue.
The rescuers said she stuck around the whole time, as they pulled her babies from the drain.
