Tourists' belongings stolen from vehicle
COCONUT GROVE, Fla. (WSVN) -- More than a dozen tourists who were dining at a local restaurant said their van was broken into and all of their personal items stolen.
The burglary happened Wednesday night while they were dining at a Wendy's on the 3600 block of South Dixie Highway in Coconut Grove. The group of 18 teenagers and two adults from France said their luggage, passports, money, cameras, among other items, were stolen from the vehicle.
Miami Police Sergeant Freddie Cruz said, "We are urging the public, if they know anything, if they saw anything, please come forward, help us out. It's a sad thing that these individuals come from another country and they get victimized in our beautiful city."
Police are now looking for the crook or crooks responsible for this crime.
