Father forces unruly sons to hold signs in public
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The father of two South Florida students imposed a public punishment following their sons' unruly behavior at school.
The boys took to the streets along 22nd Avenue and 119th Street in Northwest Miami-Dade holding signs with phrases like "I don't listen to my parents" and "Learn from my mistakes."
Darius Hepburn, who imposed the punitive measure, said he was fed up with his sons' class conduct. "The teachers were telling them, 'You know, do their work,' and you know, at home they're not doing their work," he said. "They're not following directions, so therefore, I went a different approach, and hopefully this will enlighten them to do better in school."
Hepburn hopes the unwanted attention the boys receive will help show that acting out in school is not a good idea.
