Search for suspect causes school lockdown
HOMESTEAD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A search for a suspect sparked two school scares in Homestead on Thursday afternoon.
Campbell Drive Middle and Campbell Drive K through 8 were put on lockdown around noon, as police searched for a person in the area of Southwest 167th Street.
Police rushed to the scene after receiving a call about a suspicious person walking near the school with a vest.
Officers searched both campuses, but did not find anyone questionable.
The lockdown has since been lifted.
