North Miami mayoral candidates to face off in runoff
NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- After a lively election in North Miami, the mayoral race and two council races appeared to be headed to a runoff on June 4.
With of 30 of 30 precincts reporting, no candidate received more than 50 percent the vote Tuesday, as required by city rules.
Kevin Burns, who served as the city's mayor from 2005 to 2009, will face off against Haitian community activist Lucie Tondreau.
Anna Pierre, who recently made headlines after claiming she received the endorsement of Jesus Christ, received less than 1 percent of the vote.
