Mother charged in baby's death denied bond
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A mother accused of leaving her baby in a hot car was denied bond Monday morning.
A Miami-Dade County judge declared Catalina Maritsa Bruno must remain behind bars as she awaits trial. The West Miami-Dade woman allegedly left her 11-month-old son in a hot car last Thursday.
The prosecutor asked that she be held without bond on a separate child neglect charge from last November where she was found passed out drunk in the car with her baby.
If found guilty, Bruno faces up to 30 years in jail on DUI and child neglect charges.
