Police searching for auto parts crook
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are looking for a man who they say broke into the same Miami Advance Auto Parts store three times.
Investigators said the man smashed through the entrance of the Advance Auto Parts at 3145 NW 7 Street.
Surveillance images captured the man who, police said, kicked in the front door and stormed into the store back in March.
Miami Police Det. Willy Moreno said, "He goes inside and he immediately searches for anything he thinks may be of value."
Camera angles from all over the store show the suspect searching, moving around and looking for something to steal. The man brazenly breaks in, not even trying to conceal his identity.
Moreno said, "He either has no interest or he is so focused on what he is going for that he totally forgets. On one of the scenes we do see that after he takes two or three steps into the business he partially covers his face."
In surveillance video from March 5, you can see him rummaging through the register. "In one of the scenes we notice he goes to the cash register immediately but the drawers are left open and empty," said Moreno.
Miami police said, the same man came back two days later, then again in May, to the same store.
They said, each time he snuck away with an armful of miscellaneous items.
The subject is described as a white male, 19-35 years of age, last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt with white lettering.
If you have any information on these burglaries, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
