One Direction spotted in SoBe
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- There's a British invasion of sorts in South Florida.
One Direction, one of the world's biggest pop groups, was spotted on South Beach, Wednesday. To say the boy band from England are wildly popular would be an understatement.
The band members happen to be in town, and some lucky fans may be getting a sneak peek. Held back behind a chain-link fence off Euclid Avenue that group of mostly teenage girls could hardly believe the group was only feet away inside a building shooting a music video.
The fans showed up all day long. One girl said, "I like bothered all my friends to come here and take me cause I just couldn't. I was crying. I can't breath. I can't breath because I know they're only like a wall away, and I can't take it."
It was about 6:15 in the evening when a fan admitted, "I've been here since 11 o'clock in the morning ... because I love them, and I think they're prefect."
Another revealed her efforts to follow the group's every move. "I follow a lot of insiders, and they say like where they're staying, and then I have like hook-ups with other people who like stalk them, and I just ask them," she said with a laugh.
After, several hours the band appeared to hundreds of faithful fans who waited all day to see them. "It was amazing, like this is the only chance I'm going to meet them," said Caroline Rodriguez.
