Monkey spotted again in So. Fla. neighborhood
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A loose monkey who has been spotted several times in a South Florida neighborhood several weeks ago, has been spotted again.
It was mayhem in a Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood on Tuesday. Residents were on the run after they spotted the loose monkey.
Over the past few weeks, he or she has been spotted near Northwest 87th Street and 16th Avenue and Northwest 83rd Street and 13th Avenue.
The monkey has moved south to Northwest 22nd Court and 46th Street. Residents are enjoying the moment. "It rarely happens in our neighborhood ... I thought it was a joke, so to see something like this is amazing," said a teen who lives in the area.
It is unknown if it's the same monkey that has been spotted several weeks before.
It remains unclear where the monkey came from.
If you spot the monkey, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission warn that you do not touch it and call them to capture it. For more information, visit http://myfwc.com.
