County to fund program for shelter animals
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Miami-Dade county is becoming more animal friendly.
The county commission gave the thumbs up to funding a program that will stop the killing of abandoned animals at the county shelter.
Voters overwhelmingly approved the measure last November.
Taxpayers will see an increase to their property taxes of roughly $10 per $100,000 of assessed value.
