Accused in animal abuse face judge
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Two men accused in a horrific case of animal cruelty went face to face with a judge Wednesday.
Jesus Navarro and Daniel Lombana are both charged with animal cruelty.
A judge granted Navarro $7500 bond while Lombana remains behind bars on another felony charge.
The two were among four arrested during a raid at an alleged illegal slaughterhouse near Homestead.
The raid came after an eight-month undercover investigation.
Rescuers took away approximately 75 animals, including a horse, a rabbit, dozens of fowl, pigeons and pigs.
