Fastest cruise ship to come to Miami soon
PORTMIAMI (WSVN) -- Resorts World Bimini has introduced what will soon be one of the fastest cruise ships on the high seas.
The Bimini SuperFast cruise ship has been nicknamed the "little red Ferrari" because it will be the fastest ship in the Americas, traveling to the Island of Bimini at 30 knots in about two hours.
The ship will sail to Resorts World Bimini, formerly known as Bimini Bay, where guests will be able to enjoy a 750-acre tropical paradise, full of white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters.
President of Resorts World Bimini Dana Leibovitz said, "The island of Bimini is magical. The water is crystal clear, the beaches are beautiful, fishing is second to none in the world. Scuba diving, snorkeling, ship wrecks, you can swim with the sharks, there is just a myriad of things you can do over there."
The large ship will be able to board about 150 people and will be traveling from PortMiami to Bimini Island twice a day.
Round trip tickets will cost approximately $50.
The ship is loaded with a casino, six restaurants, a nightclub and bars. Guests will also be able to book a room on the ship during the trip.
The company is currently waiting on a clearance from the coast guard to begin the trips.
