Child found after going out for a walk alone
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A toddler has been reunited with his mother after a neighbor found him wandering on his own.
The little boy managed to get out of the house through the gate surrounding the property and then out on to the street. This occurred while the child's caretaker was sleeping.
Marcelino Monero found the boy out in the middle of the street in the rain on Northwest 152nd Terrace, near Railraod Drive. Monero, along with another Good Samaritan, picked up the young boy, who was found with a busted lip.
Miami Gardens Police have since reunited the mother with her child. No charges were filed against the mother since the child was left with a caretaker.
The case has been turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families. The family were driven back home by police.
