Police: Man spent nearly $5K with stolen debit card
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Newly released surveillance video captured an unidentified man spending nearly $5,000 at a South Florida Walmart with a stolen debit card, police said.
Authorities said the subject bought $4,800 in money orders and withdrew another $100 at a Pompano Beach Walmart on April 19. Police said the entire transaction took less than three minutes.
Investigators said the suspect called the debit card's bank two days before the incident to change the PIN number and increase the credit limit.
