BSO deputy struck in hit-and-run wreck
LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A hit-and-run accident has sent a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy to the hospital, Saturday morning.
Around 6 a.m., a BSO deputy's vehicle and another car crashed at 2725 Somerset Drive in Lauderdale Lakes.
According to BSO Spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion, the hit-and-run driver was traveling in a rented red Ford Mustang, when he T-boned the deputy's patrol car. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
The deputy was transported to a local area hospital as a precaution. He suffered scrapes and bruises.
