2 injured in Hallandale Beach Police shooting
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Hallandale Beach Police and Fire Rescue have responded to the scene of a double shooting that ended in the injury of two adult males.
The shooting occurred at 1015 N.W. 1st Ave., near an apartment complex in Hallandale Beach, at around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. It left one man in critical condition, but the the other was alert and conscious, as he was placed in a stretcher with two bandaged arms.
Police and fire rescue responded to the scene after a woman called 911 to report a teenager running through a backyard armed with a handgun before she heard shots fired.
The first victim to arrive at Memorial Regional Hospital was a 25-year-old male who was shot in the chest. The other was also transported to Memorial Regional Hospital. Both fire rescue trucks had been under police escort, which indicates at least one of these men is a suspect.
Police continue to investigate the scene, including a backyard of one of the homes in the area.
