Man arrested for tagging campaign sign
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police arrested a man accused of defacing a campaign sign.
The sign was for Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez, who is currently running for mayor in the City of Miami.
Police said the sign had the word "fraud" over his first name, with slashes over "for Miami mayor" and "RIP Reefa" on the bottom of the sign.
Reefa was the street name for Israel Hernandez, the graffiti artist who died last week after being hit by a police Taser when he was caught tagging a building.
Earlier this week, Suarez sent out a campaign ad-style tweet that included Hernandez' picture. Some accused him of trying to use the case for potential political gain.
Police arrested and charged Kevin Young with criminal mischief.
