Vigil held for security guard who was shot
SOUTH MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Colleagues of a security guard who was gunned down while on duty held a vigil for him Tuesday night.
Robert Nelson's colleagues lined up their company vehicles, with their hazard lights on, along Southwest 138th Avenue and 271st Terrace.
Nelson was a security guard for 50 State Security. His co-workers held a candlelight vigil at the same spot where, investigators said, Nelson was ambushed Saturday night. "He was the type of person that would say, 'Hey, you need a hand?' or 'Good morning, good afternoon,'" said Steve Crow. "He was a very professional person."
Police said one of the men responsible has been arrested.
Quintin Vicks, 18, was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.
His two accomplices remain on the loose.
