Police searching for liquor store robber
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are looking for an armed brazen bandit behind a liquor store robbery earlier this month.
Authorities have released surveillance video from the liquor store located at 16281 S.W. 88th Street. Back on Aug. 9 around 7:40 p.m., a man casually walked into the store and according to the store clerk, he approached the counter and asked to buy a cigar.
The clerk said the conversation over which cigar to buy went bad when the subject pulled out a gun and demanded money. "I go to here, when the machine is open, he showed the gun and said, 'Give me all the money you have,'' said Juliet.
The thief managed to get away with about $160.
Authorities said the subject is described as between the ages of 25 to 35 years old and possibly hispanic.
Police said the same bandit is behind a gas station robbery just the day before located at 14699 S.W. 56th Street. Officials said the subject jumped over counter and fought the store clerk for the cash tray. He managed to get away with the unknown amount of money.
