School band instructor charged with sexual assault
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida high school band instructor who is accused of engaging in inappropriate relations with a student has been charged with sexual assault.
Martin Anthony Brown, 33, allegedly began a romantic relationship with a student back in August 2011. Officials said, Brown would arrange romantic encounters with the 17-year-old girl at his Hollywood home and at Stranahan High School, where he was a band instructor.
According to police reports, the relationship continued until June 2012.
Brown was charged Friday with four counts of sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and stay away from the grounds of any school.
