Mother behind bars, expected to give birth
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The South Florida woman serving a prison sentence on child neglect charges after her baby was found buried in her backyard was back in court Thursday.
Britney Sierra faced a judge to confirm a secure facility where she may give birth. Her baby is due in September.
No decision was made.
Sierra is the mother of Dontrelle Melvin. Melvin had been missing for more than 18 months before the baby's remains were found buried in the backyard of a Hallandale Beach home where Sierra and her boyfriend used to live.
